The 1980s inspired slasher film Carver – which was co-directed by a 13-year-old girl – has debuted its first trailer. The feature is currently in postproduction. No release date has been established, but the the picture is actively seeking distribution. We will keep you updated as more details are revealed. The trailer looks promising. The film originated about a year ago as a Kickstarter campaign with a very resourceful 13-year-old girl (Emily Di Primio) attempting to help her father (Ron Di Primio) realize his dream of making a horror picture. The campaign was extremely successful – it brought in nearly $32,000 against a goal of just $25,000. Ron’s dream has now been realized and the film is currently in postproduction. Carver was co-directed and co-written by Ron Di Primio and his daughter Emily.
Official Plot Synopsis:
A group of teenagers are haunted by a despicable act they committed when they were younger. Their actions caused the deaths of three innocent people. Now, on the anniversary of those deaths, an ominous calling card in the form of a carved pumpkin has been placed at each of their homes. Someone is out for revenge…the question is who?
