New on Netflix is a weekly feature here at Wicked Horror where we take a look at the latest additions to everyone’s favorite streaming service. It can be tough sifting through all those horror titles, not really knowing what’s worth watching and what isn’t. Sometimes, you know exactly what you’re looking for, but when you go to watch it the title has already been taken down. Here, we do our best to let you know what’s been added and re-added from week to week.
As always, the beginning of the month hits us with a lot of strong material, with some current favorites and old classics alike. Hopefully, this keeps up throughout the month as we build closer and closer to Halloween.

Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh
While it’s not quite at the level of quality of the original, Farewell to the Flesh is a hugely underrated sequel that I’m glad to see on Netflix if only for the reason that more people should be checking it out. It switches the location from Chicago to New Orleans, which actually winds up working very well.
One of the most well-known Stephen King adaptations, it’s still somehow not one of the most talked about. I think Cujo is a very suspenseful, ultimately tragic movie—although not nearly as tragic as the book it’s based on. Alligator director Lewis Teague was recommended for the project by King himself, simply because he’d enjoyed the director’s earlier film so much.
