Predator Versus Judge Dredd Versus Aliens: Splice and Dice TPB Combines Ridiculous Action With An Equally Crazy Storyline

Predator Versus Judge Dredd Versus Aliens

Predator Versus Judge Dredd Versus Aliens: Splice and Dice TPB contains the four issues of the Predator Versus Judge Dredd Versus Aliens series that came out individually originally. These issues combine the universes of Predator, Judge Dredd, and Aliens all on Earth duking it out for dominance.

Predator Versus Judge Dredd Versus Aliens: Splice and Dice TPB opens with a lone Predator hunting on Earth only to be captured by a mad scientist and his animal-humanoid creations, allowing the scientist to discover the ‘perfect’ DNA of a xenomorph skull that was on its ship. This leads to the ultimate showdown between newly-created Aliens, Predators that have arrived to rescue the captured one, and Judge Dredd, who accidentally stumbles upon all the madness.

All three franchises collide beautifully in Predator Versus Judge Dredd Versus Aliens: Splice and Dice TPB which is accompanied by not only an insane story-line, but crisp colorful artwork that outlines every gory detail and horrific moment perfectly. Although this would be a fantastic film, that would surely be filled to the brim with fan service and unnecessary violence, I think the choice to keep this bizarrely brilliant collaboration within the confines of a comic book series is a wise choice.

The comic book version of this story works in a way that would be too much for a television episode or movie and more ridiculous collaborations should follow this same route. All the markers of each of the universes that we can point to and recognize are conveyed well and, of course, while Predator Versus Judge Dredd Versus Aliens: Splice and Dice TPB is over the top, it does not overstay its welcome or go too far

Overall, if you are looking for a break from the real world or are a huge fan of any of these franchises, I highly recommend this series. It may not be a wild ride that will change your life, but you will at least utter an enthusiastic “hell yeah!” during reading. It is now available from Dark Horse.
