You Can Check Out Rob Zombie’s 31 Two Weeks Before its Official Home Video Release: Here’s How!

Rob Zombie's 31

Rob Zombie’s 31 will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray December 20, 2016 from LionsGate Home Entertainment. However, you can check it nearly two weeks prior and we have all the details for you after the break!

Shudder has landed the exclusive streaming rights to 31 for the 13-days leading up to the film’s home video release, reports Variety. The best part of all this is that the service is currently offering a free one-week trial. However, I can safely say that you will likely be hooked by the end of your free week. The selection is great and the service is reasonably priced.

Special features for the film’s DVD and Blu-ray release include “a two-hour behind-the-scenes documentary and audio commentary with Rob Zombie. The 31 digital HD release will include a four-hour behind-the-scenes documentary with two exclusive hours of footage not included on the Blu-ray release.”

Zombie submitted the film to the MPAA at least three time before escaping the dreaded NC-17 classification. But he eventually succeeded in securing an R-rating and doesn’t feel that he had to compromise his vision.

31 stars Richard Brake (Ray Donovan), Lew Temple (Devil’s Rejects), Lawrence Hilton Jacobs (Otis), Sheri Moon Zombie (Lords of Salem), Malcolm McDowell (Clockwork Orange), Judy Geeson (Lords of Salem), Meg Foster (They Live), Daniel Roebuck  (Phantasm: Ravager), Michael “Redbone” Alcott (The Devil’s Rejects), Jeffrey Daniel Phillips (Lords of Salem), and more.

31 is set in 1975. The project zeroes in on five people kidnapped in the days leading up to Halloween. They are brought to a place called Murder World where they must fight for their survival by playing a deadly game called 31. To win, the ‘contestants’ must kill their opponents over a 12-hour period. Their adversaries are comprised of a group of sadistic killer clowns.
