Wicked Horror speaks with Andrew Grevas, author of Horror in Haddonfield, about the Michael Myers mythos!

Andrew Grevas is an author who knows his stuff. Especially when the stuff in question is the Halloween franchise.

Grevas, of Cincinnati, Ohio, founded several websites, including Horror Obsessive and 25YL. In 2025, he released Horror in Haddonfield: The Untold Stories of Halloween, a dissection of the long-running franchise that includes interviews with the likes of actresses Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton and director Dwight Little.

“I think I wound up with 25 cast and crew interviews,” Grevas tells Wicked Horror. “And I’m super, super proud, I think all those interviews turned out great.”

So basically, he’s the PERFECT dude to sit down with and talk about the behind the scenes lore of Halloween and all of the unrealized projects that *almost* happened … including a crossover flick that would’ve pit Michael Myers against Pinhead of Hellraiser fame!

Over the course of half an hour Grevas cuts into the marrow of Halloween and gives his takes on all of the longest, lingering questions of the franchise. Is Michael Myers a supernatural being or not? What’s the ACTUAL canonical timeline for the movies? And after Halloween Ends, what’s the next logical step for the series?

Halloween fans, you are going to LOVE this one.

But we’re not just getting a thorough deep dive on all things Halloween, though. Grevas also shares his thoughts on the future of the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street franchises … and he even gives us a little teaser for his next book, which focuses on a beloved intellectual property that may or may not involve David Duchovny in some capacity. Personally, I’m hoping it’s either an expose on Beethoven or a tell-all about The Red Shoe Diaries.

Needless to say, you won’t want to miss a *single* word from Grevas … as knowledgeable as he is, maybe he should’ve been the guy chasing The Shape around the Midwest for five and a half movies instead of Doctor Loomis!
