Teaser and Details On Upcoming Horror Doc Sliders of Ghost Town: Origins

Sliders of Ghost town

Don’t let the bizarre title put you off; Sliders Of Ghost Town: Origins is the real deal. Ostensibly a horror documentary charting the beginning, and significant rise in popularity, of the Halloween Haunt at Knott’s Berry Farm, the flick focuses on current and past employees who have popularised the activity known as ‘sliding’. Sliding sees employees literally sliding across the park to frighten unsuspecting patrons.

Originally intended purely as a scare tactic, for use on unsuspecting visitors to the Haunt, the concept has now evolved into a recreational sport that fanatics practice all year round.

Sliders Of Ghost Town: Origins sits down with some of the people who invented sliding, along with current Halloween Haunt performers, to get an idea of where the idea came from and where it’s going. Over 13 hours of interview footage was captured, in order to get a better understanding of the job itself, along with why the participants partake in sliding as a hobby.

If it sounds like kind of a wacky idea, the YouTube teaser does nothing to dispel that theory. It’s safe to assume the doc is populated with kooky sorts (like the guy who promises to chase those who instinctively move away from him) and hardcore Halloween, and horror, fans. In other words, people just like us.

Sliders Of Ghost Town: Origins is directed by Braedon Freeland and produced by B Free Media. The flick is set for release on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 1st.
