Suicide Squad Debuts TWO Awesome New Posters

Harley Quinn - Suicide Squad

It’s kind of hard to believe that Suicide Squad is less than two months away from its theatrical release, considering the promotional machine seems to be in overdrive at the moment.

The flick is due to hit theaters on August 5th, and on top of all the trailers, stills, those weird rumours about Jared Leto’s, er, methods, and everything else that’s being used to sell the movie to us, there seems to be yet more material left to reveal before the big day arrives.

Suicide Squad is set to feature heavily at San Diego Comic Con, which will be held about two weeks before its release, and just this week another two posters have been released for the movie – just in case anticipation wasn’t high enough.

The first of which, a super-colourful, comic book-style offering, is below.

A second, banner-style poster, with a creepy Joker grin superimposed on it, is adorns the top of this post. Both posters seem to capture what DC bosses are hoping will be a fun, colourful, comic book-y movie in the vein of Marvel’s hugely popular Avengers series – and in vast contrast to the widely-panned, super-serious Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

Suicide Squad hits theaters worldwide on August 5th, 2016. The flick was directed by David Ayer from a script he co-wrote with John Ostrander, who penned the comic book on which the movie is based.

The cast of stars taking on the iconic roles of the task force of villains-turned-heroes of the title includes Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and Cara Delevigne. Ben Affleck’s Batman is also scheduled to make an appearance.
