Jeepers Creepers 3 Still Happening, Seeking Domestic Distro

Jeepers Creepers True Story

A lot of buzz has been surrounding the production of Jeepers Creepers 3. A Canadian casting agency actually pulled down a casting notice after concern about director Victor Salva’s past arose. One fan recently reached out to one of the film’s producers on Twitter to see if the project had been nixed, altogether. It turns out that the production team behind the project is currently seeking domestic distribution for the film and the picture is still very much alive. You can see producer Stan Spry’s full answer to the question below.

What we know about the third installment in the series so far is that Victor Salva will be returning to write and direct and actors Jonathan Breck (The Creeper) and Brandon Smith (Sergeant Tubbs) will also be returning. Rumors have circulated that Gina Phillips may also be returning but that has not yet been substantiated.

As for the storyline: The latest installment sees Tubbs joining forces with a task force intent upon destroying The Creeper for once and for all. Naturally, chaos ensues and nothing goes according to plan.

In a statement, director Victor Salva offered the following insight: “What will go before cameras as Jeepers Creepers 3 is a new and terrifying chapter from the Jeepers universe. We are bringing back the Creeper’s truck, and will be addressing the big questions about The Creeper: what it is, where it came from and why it does what it does.”

Jeepers Creepers 3 is still slated to go into production in Vancouver BC in the very near future. Francis Ford Coppola (who produced the first two) has signed on to co-produce the threequel with Odyssey Media, and The Cartel. Kirk D’Amico has come aboard to executive produce.

It’s a little surprising that this has taken as long as it has, seeing as how the two previous films collectively grossed over $120 million at the global box office. Stay tuned for more on this title as it is announced!
