Marvel has just reached out to alert us that production has begun on the much buzzed about Gaurdians of the Galaxy sequel.
The follow up will be both written and directed by James Gunn (Slither) who helmed the record breaking first installment in the series. It is slated for a theatrical bow May 5, 2017.
The first film earned a whopping $770 Million at the global box office and stands as the most profitable first installment in any Marvel franchise.
The sequel will see the return of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, and Vin Diesel, and several other original cast members. Stay tuned to the site for more on this sequel as it is announced.
