FX Green-Lights Sixth Season of American Horror Story

American Horror Story

FX has reached out to announce that American Horror Story has been green-lit for a, currently untitled, sixth season. Another genre film site is reporting that this will be the final season of the series but I believe I received the same press release they did and it said nothing about the series coming to a close. It did mention that AHS is the highest rated series on the network and that the premiere of Hotel was one of the most-watched episodes of the series’ five-year run. So, ending the series seems unlikely at this point.

Although it wasn’t announced in the update from the network, we can assume that season six will make its premiere sometime in October of 2016.

American Horror Story: Hotel stars Mädchen Amick, Lily Rabe, Finn Wittrock, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley, Evan Peters, and many more. As we previously told you, Jessica Lange has confirmed that she will not be returning for season five but it’s been suggested that she may rrevisit the series in some capacity at some point.

The season has been a fictionalized retelling of the crimes of serial killer H.H. Holmes and his “Murder Castle”. Stay tuned to the site for the latest AHS news and more. And let us know your thoughts on what you would like to see from the sixth season in the comments section below.
