Check Out A BTS Still from Rob Zombie’s 31

Psyhco-Head Poster art for the Rob Zombie film 31.

Another still has made its debut in support of Rob Zombie’s killer clown flick 31. A release date is still unknown but the film has been picked up for US distribution by Alchemy. This time around, the image is a still from behind the scenes and it comes via Zombie’s Facebook page. The snapshot was taken by documentary filmmaker Josh Hasty, who is working on a doc about the production of 31.

Hasty captioned the shot by saying, “Going through 500+ hours of footage (yes five hundred) on my Rob Zombie  31 doc. Here’s a screen cap of RZ and his DP, David Daniels, planning out one of my favorite scenes in the film. A poetic nightmare!” You can check out the image for yourself below.

31 stars Judy Geeson (The Lords of Salem), Meg Foster (They Live), Richard Brake (Doom), Malcolm McDowell (ClockworkOrange), Daniel Roebuck  (Phantasm: Ravager),  Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs (Otis), Michael “Redbone” Alcott (The Devil’s Rejects), Jeffrey Daniel Phillips (Lords of Salem), Sheri Moon Zombie (House of 1,000 Corpses), and many more.

Like most of Zombie’s work, 31 is heavily influenced by the horrors of the ’70s and is actually set in 1975. The project zeroes in on five people kidnapped in the days leading up to Halloween. They are brought to a place called Murder World where they must fight for their survival by playing a deadly game called 31. To win, the ‘contestants’ must kill their opponents over a 12-hour period. Their adversaries are comprised of a group of sadistic killer clowns. Naturally, the title refers to Halloween, the 31st day of October.
