New York Comic Con has brought perhaps the best news possible for connoisseurs of Deadites and sizeable chins alike, as the hugely popular Ash Vs. Evil Dead has officially been renewed for its third season.
Starz made the announcement at the panel for the show, to the delight of attendees. It might seem slightly premature, however, as Ash vs. Evil Dead has just started airing its second season.
In this week’s episode, “Pablo’s grasp on reality is tested when Ruby reveals the Necronomicon has gifted him with premonitions. Meanwhile, in the morgue, Ash and Kelly discover Brock’s date might not be the warm body he’s banking on.”
Bruce Campbell is set to reprise his role as Ash yet again, alongside returning cast members Lucy Lawless, Dana De Lorenzo and many others. Campbell has an executive producer credit on Ash vs Evil Dead, alongside The Evil Dead creator Sam Raimi.
Starz also revealed a look at the third episode of season two, entitled “Last Call”: “Local teens raise hell when they steal the Delta from Brock’s house. Ash and his best buddy Chet devise a plan to throw a party at the bar, lure the thieves in, and get the Delta and the Necronomicon back.”
