Ed Gein was a terrifyingly real life crazy character who dug up victims from their graves to use for his home furniture and other perverse desires.
He is the man that influenced the creation of several fictional killers in horror including Norman Bates from the movie and novel Psycho, Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Jame Gumb (Buffalo Bill) from the novel The Silence of the Lambs.
